VETERINARIANS

Dr. Beth Blackey Farris, DVM

Dr. Farris joined Fayette Veterinary Clinic in March of 2022, but veterinary medicine has always been a part of her life.  Before joining FVC, she practiced in Lexington and Louisville.  In addition, her dad, Chet Blackey, has been an equine veterinarian in the Lexington area for many years.  As a child she rode with her dad frequently, and as an adult, you could find her helping him with radiographs. However, through her small animal mentorships and years at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she decided to pursue small animal medicine. She loves taking care of people’s pets, knowing the important role they play in each family.

When Dr. Farris isn’t at the clinic, she is spending time with her husband and the co-owner of FVC, Thomas, their son, Rhodes, and two dogs, Tybee and Delta.  Outside of work, you can find them walking at the Arboretum, spending time with Rhodes’ cousins, or working in the yard.

Dr. Sarah Blanchett, DVM

Dr. Sarah Blanchett is a native Lexingtonian and received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University in 2014. She has advanced degrees in Certified Canine Rehabilitation and Acupuncture. Sarah has a passion for working closely with her patients to provide them proper therapy for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

When she isn't working, she stays busy taking care of her husband, four kids, three dogs, and two guinea pigs.

  • Casey Southworth

Casey started working with animals over 15 years ago at Lexington Humane Society. That position led her to FVC back in 2008, where she has been ever since. Along the way, she has met many wonderful people and their pets.

When she’s not at work, Casey has her hands full with her two children and two dogs. And… if there’s any time left, she’s out looking for Vintage Christmas!

  • Halie Ward

Halie is a veterinary technician in our office and has been working in the field for two years. Her favorite part of the job is helping sick animals get better… and the puppy and kitty snuggles!

She has three dogs of her own - Scrappy, Milo, and Winnie. When she’s not at work, Halie enjoys watching movies with her husband and fur babies, watching reality tv, and baking.

  • Caitlynn Jennings

Caitlynn started working with animals over 10 years ago, getting her start at Lexington Humane Society. She also learned a lot about pet behaviors working with trainers at Uptown Hounds, before ultimately landing her at FVC in August 2022. She loves building great working relationships with pets and their families.

When she’s not working, Caitlynn she enjoys spending time with her husband and fur babies.

  • Kellie Reddoor, Groomer

Kellie is the newest member of the FVC Family! She has 30 years of experience as a professional animal groomer. Kellie brings thorough knowledge in both standard breed clips and specialty clips for dogs and cats. She lives in Lexington with her three cats, Vishnu, Ceaser and Clea, and two dogs, Jethro and Ettie Mae. Jethro is a Boxer, and Ettie Mae is a Great Dane/Newfoundland mix. Kellie really enjoys her work, but in her free time she also enjoys anything outdoors like camping, hiking in the woods, and playing with her dogs.
